The Challenge

Why Tanzania Needs This Now

Students have brilliant ideas. Schools lack the structure to turn them into real projects. We bridge that gap.

The Problem

  • No ideation structure: Students with ideas but no validated path to execute them
  • Theory-only education: Curriculum teaches concepts but never practical application
  • No AI support: Teachers lack time to give every student a personalised project plan
  • Unequal access: Rural schools have zero maker resources or lab equipment
  • Competition gap: Students attend STEM competitions unprepared, without a built plan

Our Solution

  • AI Ideation Engine: Validates hypotheses, generates Innovation Clovers and build roadmaps instantly
  • 7 Project Paths: Community Impact, Competition, Startup, Academic, Women in STEM, Primary STEM, Learning
  • Portable Maker Space: Every tool students need arrives in one portable case
  • Offline-First: Full functionality in areas with limited or no internet
  • Team Collaboration: Students pitch, build and present together in the platform
Core Product

The Intelligent Project Creator

Our AI engine structures the full journey from raw idea to a validated, funded project plan.

1

Choose Your Purpose Path

Community impact, competition, startup, academic research, Women in STEM, primary school, or personal learning — each unlocks a tailored AI flow.

AI Generates Your Hypothesis

Define who, what problem, what solution and key benefit. The engine validates your idea against real-world constraints and Tanzanian context.

Platform Features

Everything Students Need to Build Real Things

From first idea to working prototype, every step is supported.

AI Hypothesis Generator

Enter a rough idea and the engine returns a structured hypothesis — who, problem, solution, key benefit, untested assumptions and next actions — in seconds.

Innovation Clover

Four deep-dive lenses tailored to the project purpose: community ownership, root cause thinking, do-no-harm, and sustainability beyond the project cycle.

Auto-Generated Roadmaps

Phase timelines, component lists, risk registers, presentation structures, and demo scripts generated for competitions, community pitches or academic submissions.

Team Workspace

Students form teams, assign roles, chat in real-time, and share project snapshots. Teachers view all team progress from one dashboard.

Teacher Analytics

Track hypothesis completion, clover answers, project stages and team activity across every student. Identify who needs support at a glance.

Offline-First Design

All core features work without internet. Drafts auto-save locally and sync to the team workspace the moment connectivity returns.

Our Story

Born in Mwanza. Built for All of Tanzania.

NovaTech Labs was founded with a simple belief: every Tanzanian student deserves the tools to turn their ideas into real projects — regardless of their school's resources or location.

We have watched students from Dar es Salaam to rural villages win competitions with nothing but a notebook and borrowed equipment. Our Intelligent Project Creator and Portable Maker Space change that.

From robotics to community health, from competition prep to startup ideas — NovaTech Labs is the launchpad for the next generation of African innovators.

FAQ

Common Questions

Everything you need to know before bringing NovaTech Labs to your school.

What is the Intelligent Project Creator?
The Intelligent Project Creator (IPC) is the core AI engine inside NovaTech Labs. Students enter a project idea, choose a purpose path, and the AI generates a full hypothesis, Innovation Clover analysis, constraints, component list, timeline and build plan — all in minutes.
What age groups is NovaTech Labs designed for?
NovaTech Labs is designed for students aged 10 to 18 — Primary Standard 5 through Form 6. The Intelligent Project Creator adapts its language, complexity and project scope based on the student's level and chosen purpose path.
Does it work offline? Our school has limited internet.
Yes. NovaTech Labs is built offline-first. All core features — project drafting, Innovation Clover, build plans, team workspace — work without internet. Data syncs automatically when connectivity is available. AI generation requires a brief connection, but generated content is stored locally for continued work offline.
Do teachers need technical expertise?
No. The platform guides both teachers and students step-by-step. We provide teacher training workshops, lesson plans, and a dedicated support community. Teachers monitor class progress through an analytics dashboard without needing to know engineering or coding.
How much does it cost?
We have four subscription tiers starting from a free Basic plan. School bundles (software plus Portable Maker Space plus teacher training) start from TZS 3.5M. Beta participants receive special early-adopter pricing. Visit our Products page for full pricing details.
Can students use it for competition preparation?
Absolutely. Competition prep is one of the core purpose paths. Students enter their competition name, deadline and judging criteria, and the AI builds a full submission: demo script, presentation slides, judging alignment score, risk register, build timeline, and technical documentation.
